Auburn Unveils New Nike Uniforms In Video, Photos Before 2025 CFB Season
Two days after its apparel deal with Nike officially began, Auburn has unveiled its new football jerseys that will be used for the 2025 season.
The Tigers showed off their Nike threads in a video and photos on social media:
Under Armour had been the Tigers' official apparel partner dating back to 2006, but the school announced in April 2024 it was making the switch to Nike starting with the 2025-26 academic year.
Auburn's most recent nine-year deal with Under Armour that was signed in 2015 lost $8.6 million in value because it came with $10 million in UA stock to be paid out over the life of the agreement.
Per Eben Novy-Williams and Brendan Coffey of Sportico, the school's bet on Under Armour continuing to grow right around the time it was trading at an all-time high price.
As the deal with Under Armour came to an end on July 1, Auburn posted a thank you video with the football team's standout moments during the 18-year partnership between the two brands.
Financial details of the deal between Auburn and Nike are not publicly available. Matt Cohen of AL.Com noted in May 2024 the contract was negotiated between Nike and Auburn's athletics foundation, Tigers Unlimited, so it is not subject to public records.
With Auburn officially a Nike school now, it joins fellow SEC programs Alabama, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Kentucky and Mississippi in wearing the Swoosh logo.
Hugh Freeze Still Confident Auburn Football Can Land Top-10 Class Despite Recruiting Struggles
ALEXANDER CITY — However strong Auburn football's efforts on the recruiting trail have been in recent years, it has been far from kind to Hugh Freeze and his staff in recent weeks.
Since early June, the Tigers have suffered four decommitments from blue-chip recruits in their 2026 class. Despite a couple additions in that span, their now six-man class ranks no better than No. 74 nationally.

On Wednesday, during a coaches caravan event in Alexander City, Freeze admitted it's hard to "feel great" about Auburn's current standing. But he's also confident the Tigers will still sign a top-10 class during the current cycle.
"If my understanding is correct, with everything we've heard, the penalties for going over the cap are not fun," Freeze said. "You have to manage that, and when you're looking at rooms in our place — like the quarterback room, or the wide receiver room, or the D-Line room — where we're not losing many players at all, on paper, and we like them, it's really hard to just go out and be free, like we were the last few years, to go and recruit kids."
The past two years, Freeze and his staff have landed the No. 10 and 8 classes in the nation, respectively, based on 247Sports' composite ratings. Currently, the site has Auburn at 89th in the nation and dead last in the SEC. No other program in the league has fewer than nine commits — three more than Auburn's current total.
"It's hard to feel great when you're not one of the top-ranked recruiting classes, and I think Auburn should be," Freeze said. "But I'm confident in our administration and the way that they lead, and (I) trust them immensely that we're doing things the right way. At the end of the day, that's really what we have to do, in my opinion. We can't put ourselves in jeopardy."

Auburn Gives First-look At New Nike Football Uniforms
AUBURN, Ala. (WBRC) - Auburn University is officially a Nike school and the Tigers are wasting no time to show it off.
The 10-year deal between Nike and Auburn, which officially began on July 1, will see the Tigers move away from Under Armour for the first time in nearly two decades.
In video released on @AuburnFootball on X, fans got their first taste of Auburn's classic blue jersey with a white Nike check on the left shoulder.
The Nike logo is prominently featured throughout the entire uniform - gloves, pants, and cleats - a small but noticeable change for Auburn faithful.
"We are thrilled to kick off the Nike era of Auburn football," head football coach Hugh Freeze said earlier this week. "I've seen firsthand Nike's commitment to excellence and innovation. Our student-athletes look forward to competing in Nike cleats and uniforms in front of the greatest fans in college football this season at Jordan-Hare Stadium."
Auburn will take the field in the Nike brand for the first time on Aug. 29 when the Tigers travel to Baylor for a SEC-Big XII matchup.
