The Michigan State Spartans outlasted Michigan 37-33 to prove that they're no one's little brother -- especially when you have Kenneth Walker III on the roster --while Georgia flexed its muscle against Florida to the tune of a 34-7 rout. Both Georgia and Michigan State now have an inside track to the playoff but with games against Alabama and Ohio State ahead, respectively, the path isn't completely paved yet. The Group of 5's best chance at the College Football Playoff, the Cincinnati Bearcats, survived a mediocre first half at Tulane and rallied for a comfortable victory to stay undefeated and in the playoff picture. Oklahoma kept its undefeated season alive with a 52-21 victory over Texas Tech. The Sooners have had a hard time climbing the polls with several close wins on the season but it looks like everything is starting to click for Lincoln Riley's squad at the right time.

Getty Images Manchester City will try to extend its dominant run in league play when it hosts Crystal Palace on Saturday in an English Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium. City (6-2-1) is unbeaten in eight straight Premier League matches since losing 1-0 to Tottenham on opening day. It is stinging slightly from a loss on penalty kicks to West Ham in the League Cup on Wednesday, but it has bigger plans for this season. City is third in the EPL table, two points behind Chelsea, and can't afford to lose any ground. Crystal Palace (1-6-2) is in the 15th spot but has been competitive in nearly every match, and it comes in off four consecutive draws.    Kickoff is set for 10 a.m ET. The Premier League is back in action this Saturday. Who's Playing Chelsea @ Newcastle United Current Records: Chelsea 7-1-1; Newcastle United 0-5-4 What to Know Newcastle United is 2-6 against Chelsea since December of 2017, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. They are meeting up for the first time this season at 10 a.m. ET at St. James' Park. Newcastle needs to shore up a defense that is allowing 2.22 goals per matchup. On Saturday, the Magpies and Crystal Palace ended up with a point apiece after a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Chelsea got themselves on the board against Norwich City on Saturday, but Norwich never followed suit. Chelsea put a hurting on Norwich at home to the tune of 7-0. The winner of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Kansas Speedway triumphed on an emotional day for his employer. Kyle Larson drove to a 3.619-second victory in the Hollywood Casino 400, his third win in as many weeks. He won on a day of remembrance within Hendrick Motorsports. Sunday was the 17th anniversary of a plane crash outside Martinsville Speedway that killed 10 people, including Ricky Hendrick, the 24-year-old son of team owner Rick Hendrick; John Hendrick, Rick Hendrick's brother; and John Hendrick's twin daughters. John Hendrick was HMS president. Ricky Hendrick was in line to succeed his father as leader of the organization. "I didn't ever get to meet Ricky or the other men and women who lost their lives that day, but I felt the importance of this race, no doubt," Larson told NBCSN in his postrace interview.
