NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team will close out its 2021-22 non-conference schedule with a Wednesday night matchup against the College of Charleston inside Chartway Arena. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m.
Old Dominion (5-7) enters off a 67-61 loss to Richmond on Sunday, while College of Charleston (7-4) comes into the matchup after losing to Stetson 67-59 on Dec. 11. The Cougars were scheduled to have faced Rhode Island on Sunday but had the game canceled due to COVID issues with Rhode Island.
Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik will have the game on the ODU Sports Radio Network starting with the pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be shown on ODUsports.com.

Old Dominion trails 2-0 in the series with the Cougars. College of Charleston won the last meeting during the 2013-14 season with a 51-44 win in Norfolk.

Against the Spiders, Austin Trice was the leading scorer with a season-high 20 points and a career-best 16 rebounds off the bench. C.J. Keyser was the other double-figure scorer with 13 points, while Kalu Ezikpe and D'Angelo Stines added eight points each. Trice had a double-double in the second half with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Monarchs.
ODU held a +13 advantage on the boards (44-31) with 20 of those being on the offensive end. The 44 rebounds was a season-high for the Monarchs.
C.J. Keyser leads ODU in scoring averaging 13.3 points per contest, while Ezikpe is averaging 11.5 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. Jaylin Hunter is just behind at 9.3 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game, while Long is averaging 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

The Cougars have five players averaging between nine and 14 points per game as John Meeks leads them in scoring at 14.1 points and is second in rebounding at 5.0 per contest. Reyne Smith is next in scoring at 13.6 points, while Brenden Tucker joins him in double figures averaging 11.7 points per game.
Just missing double figures are Dimitrius Underwood at 9.5 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds, and Dalton Bolon at 9.1 points per game.
As a team, the Cougars are averaging 80 points per game while hitting .408 from the field and .348 from 3-point range. They are outrebounding opponents by an average of over five per game.
