Cowgirl Basketball Adds Standout Transfer - Oklahoma State Athletics

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has added graduate transfer Naomie Alnatas to its roster it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt.

"Mimie is a great player who will directly impact our roster at the guard spot. More importantly, she is a great person who will help us create the culture we want here," Hoyt said. "Her ability to shoot and create shots for her teammates are attributes that will help us get better immediately. I am positive that her passion and competitive spirit are something our fans will be drawn toward."

This past season for Kansas City, Alnatas was second in the Summit League in scoring at 18.6 points per game, first in assists at 5.3 per outing as well as third in free-throw percentage at 84.6 percent and steals per game at 1.8. Additionally, she was 10th in made 3-pointers per game at 1.8 per contest and fourth in assist-turnover ratio at 1.8.

For the second year in a row, Alnatas earned first-team all-league honors and was named the Summit League Player of the Week on three occasions. She surpassed the 20-point mark 10 times and recorded the league's lone triple-double of the year, finishing with 29 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds against Western Illinois on Feb. 5.

As a junior, the Cayenne, French Guiana native averaged a team-high 16.0 points per game to go with 3.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Alnatas was an Academic All-WAC selection during the 2019-20 campaign.

As a freshman at Iowa Western Community College in 2017-18 she averaged 12.8 points per game as well as 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest on her way to NJCAA honorable mention All-America status. She redshirted during the 2018-19 campaign due to injury.
