Dziagwa Named Director of Basketball Operations - Saint Louis University - Saint Louis University
ST. LOUIS – Thomas Dziagwa, who has spent the last year-plus on the Saint Louis men's basketball staff as a Graduate Student Manager, has been promoted to the program's Director of Basketball Operations.
"We are excited to promote Thomas on our staff," SLU head coach Travis Ford said. "He is a terrific young coach who has worked really hard in all areas since arriving on the SLU campus. Thomas has developed strong relationships with players and staff, brings great energy every day, and will continue to bring a winning attitude in his new role."
"I am extremely grateful to Coach Ford and the SLU administration for this opportunity," Dziagwa said. "My goal is to continue to learn and develop as a coach, and there are no better staff and players to learn from than right here at Saint Louis University. I'm ready to hit the ground running as we work toward an exciting season here at SLU."
Dziagwa began his coaching career in the 2021-22 season after a highly successful four-year playing career at Oklahoma State. He was recruited to the Cowboys by Ford.
Dziagwa appeared in 125 games at Oklahoma State during his career and drained 251 3-pointers, which ranks fourth in OSU history. His career 3-point percentage of .411 ranked eighth in program history at the time of his graduation.
Following his time at Oklahoma State, Dziagwa played one season with BC Dzukija in Lithuania before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the season.
A native of Temple Terrace, Fla., Dziagwa prepped under his father, Don, at Tampa Catholic High School, where he is the program's all-time leading scorer with more than 2,000 career points.
