PUMA & KIDSUPER's New Collaboration Is All About The Funny Business

by Adriano B.

PUMA and KidSuper have teamed up once again to create a vibrant and playful new collection that blends PUMA's athletic heritage with KidSuper's unique artistic vision. Inspired by the world of football, the collaboration features a range of footwear, apparel, and accessories in pastel colorways, featuring specially designed patterns and modern aesthetics.

The collection includes essential pieces like the Cellerator Track Pants and Track Jacket, both adorned with a stylized PUMA leaping cat logo. For added warmth, the Reversible Vest and MMQ Jacket are covered in custom mosaic patterns. The Graphic Tee and Crewneck feature bespoke "KidSuper Academy" graphics, while the Trapper hat and Gloves add a touch of personality.

KidSuper's reinterpretation of the Easy Rider and Palermo footwear showcases rippling lines and pastel tones. Mixed materials like mesh and suede give these sneakers a deconstructed and playful feel.

Ghostbusters Villains Take Over The PUMA Suede XL, While The PUMA Mostro 3.D. Debuts

PUMA is celebrating Ghostbusters' 40th anniversary with two Suede XL colorways inspired by iconic franchise villains. The collaboration also includes a futuristic PUMA Mostro 3.D. Debuting with A$AP Rocky, blending high fashion and 3D printing. Both collections launch in late September and October.

Ghostbusters Celebrates 40th Anniversary with PUMA Collaboration, Featuring Suede XL Sneakers Inspired by Stay-Puft and Slimer

It's hard to believe, but 40 years have passed since Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler launched their ghost-hunting business in New York City. Born out of Dan Aykroyd's fascination with the paranormal, Ghostbusters remains as iconic as ever, with its characters and villains instantly recognizable even four decades later. According to Sneaker News, Ghostbusters has teamed up with PUMA to celebrate this milestone with a unique collaborative collection. The centerpiece is two Suede XL colorways inspired by some of the franchise's most famous foes: the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer.

The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man-inspired Suede XL perfectly matches the ghostly giant. The shoe's puffed-up tongue, thick laces, and wide construction echo Stay-Puft's iconic look. Key details include a banner along the lateral quarter, inspired by Stay-Puft's red hat, and a bulging blue Formstrip beneath it. The heel is adorned with a marshmallow-like structure, replacing traditional branding, while a Stay-Puft graphic can be found on the semi-translucent outsole.

Meanwhile, Slimer, the mischievous spirit from the Sedgewick Hotel, gets his own Suede XL treatment with an all-green suede upper. The design plays with two shades of green across the base and Formstrips, and the outsole features a playful hot dog graphic, referencing Slimer's love for street food throughout the Ghostbusters franchise. Both pairs come with co-branded Ghostbusters x PUMA logos on the tongue and insoles.

The Ghostbusters x PUMA collection includes two graphic tees and will be available online at PUMA starting October 1st. On October 3rd, it will also be available in PUMA's NYC flagship store and select retailers.

PUMA and A$AP Rocky Revive the Iconic Mostro with Futuristic 3D-Printed Design, Launching September 26

In other PUMA news, the brand's collaboration with A$AP Rocky has taken a sudden leap forward. Following the announcement of Rocky's latest Inhale collection, PUMA has revealed another addition to the capsule: the revival of the PUMA Mostro with futuristic 3D-printed construction.

The Mostro's original design remains intact, but 3D printing gives it a seamless, one-piece structure adorned with hexagonal perforations. The shoe's defining spiky outsole design spreads across the entire surface, including jagged protrusions around the forefoot. Despite its seemingly rigid construction, this model is a slip-on, blending high fashion with advanced manufacturing techniques.

A$AP Rocky's contribution includes two striking colorways: a black and red pair featuring a gradient spray-paint effect reminiscent of his Inhale collaboration and a neon green and black version. An airbrushed dollar sign print on the shoebox complements both designs.

The PUMA x A$AP Rocky Monstro 3D will be available on September 26th and retail for $250. Look in the "Where To Buy" sections for direct shopping links to snag your favorite pair.

Why Are Manchester City Playing In White At Home Against Inter Milan In The Champions League?

Manchester City are set to change out of their normal home shirt when they take on Inter Milan in the new format of the Champions League, with the English side debuting a strip co-designed by Oasis singer Noel Gallagher.

The kit, which was released in September, takes inspiration from Oasis' debut album 'Definitely Maybe' which celebrates its 30th birthday this year.

'I was into City before I was into music'

The promo image featured Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, along with Kyle Walker, Mateo Kovacic, Ederson and Jess Park, posing in the same fashion as on the cover of the 1994 work.

As well as the shirt, City and Puma also released a clothing collection which includes a bomber jacket and an overshirt, as well as a bucket hat.

"I loved City before anything, I was into City before I was into music, I was into City before I knew what music was," Noel Gallagher said in a statement which was released by Puma. "Definitely Maybe is what set us on our way, the record lasting as long, you can't predict that kind of thing. It's a great working class, Mancunian record. It's real."

The Gallagher brothers are known to be huge Manchester City fans and Noel can often be seen attending games at the Etihad Stadium. He also designed the font style for the name/number writing on the shirts that City will use in the Champions League and domestic cup competitions this season, where the uniform Premier League style numbering is not compulsory.

Oasis split in August 2009, just a year after City's takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group. Now, the brothers are set to return to performing together after a decade and a half, with tickets for their upcoming tour a talking point for many due to their high and 'dynamic' prices, which has seen many people pay hugely inflated fees for tickets compared to others.
