Top 5 Reasons Ohio State Will Triumph Over Michigan

Big Ten quarterbacks ranked by Total QBR after Week 2Buckeyes Wire

Why it matters

The great game of American football (no Australian rules here) is a quarterback's game now. You have to have a really good one if you want to do special things and it's no different in college and especially in rivalries like this. We've seen guys like Troy Smith, J.T. Barrett, and Dwayne Haskins saddle the team up and lead it to a win over the Maize and Blue.

Michigan has struggled mightily at the quarterback position this season with a mixed revolving door of personnel and results. Ohio State, on the other hand, has not. Kansas State transfer, Will Howard, has been even better than expected, leading all of FBS in completion percentage and sitting at No. 2 in the Big Ten in Total QBR, just a hair behind Indiana's Kurtis Rourke.

Even more than that, Howard has the toughness and leadership it takes to win a game like this. If all else fails, give me guts over stats during the last Saturday in November under center. Ohio State has a big-time advantage in that department with Howard.

Auburn Football Receives An Emotional Surprise Before The Iron Bowl

After suffering serious injuries from a shooting in May, Brian Battie made his return to Auburn and the team Friday, according to a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).

On May 18, Battie was the victim of a shooting in his hometown of Sarasota, Florida.

While he was left in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head, Brian's older brother, Tommie Battie IV, was killed.

Following the shooting, it was unclear if Brian Battie would ever walk again as court documents filed against the alleged shooter, Darryl Brookins, stated that the Auburn running back could be looking at a prognosis of permanent paralysis.

In a July 20 update posted to the family's GoFundMe campaign, which has raised over $123,000, the Battie family wrote that Brian had taken his first steps with a cane.

On July 26, the family wrote that Battie was determined to make a full recovery and eventually graduate from Auburn.

Battie was released from the hospital on Aug. 24, but remained with family back in Florida to continue his rehab and recovery. The latest update regarding his status said that Battie underwent cranioplasty surgery and "is now on the road to recovery."

"We are grateful for the exceptional care he continues to have through this unimaginable time. A special THANK YOU goes to Brian's incredible surgeon, Dr. Fine and his P.A. Brett Griffin," Battie's mother, Adriene, wrote in the update. "Their expertise, compassion, and dedication have made all the difference. They are a true blessing to our family!

"We also want to give praise to the entire team at Sarasota Memorial. They all go above and beyond to ensure Brian's safety and comfort. Brian is back under the care of Dr. Bajorek and Dr. Hafner along with his incredible therapist in Rehab."

Included in the most recent update posted to the GoFundMe campaign was a note that Battie watched Auburn's win over Texas A&M, "and his reaction was priceless."
