Former Premier League Ace, 46, Married To Ex-soap Star Sacked By EFL Club As 160-word Statement Released
BARROW have sacked former Premier League ace Stephen Clemence as manager after eight months into the job.
Clemence, 46, played for Tottenham, Birmingham and Leicester, where he hung up his boots in 2010 and crossed over to management nine years later.

The ex-England youth international, who has been married to former Brookside soap star Suzanne Collins since 2017, oversaw a total of 10 wins and 15 losses in 32 games with the Bluebirds.
The club issued a brief statement thanking Clemence for his contribution and explained that the recent poor form forced their hand.
Barrow issued the following statement: "Barrow AFC can confirm that they have parted company with their First Team head coach, Stephen Clemence."
Chairman Paul Hornby said: 'Stephen came in over the summer and we had high hopes to build on his considerable coaching ability and reputation.
"'We've built a strong squad of players together and enjoyed some memorable early success including our Carabao Cup exploits.
"'Stephen has always conducted himself with great dignity and professionalism but unfortunately our recent extended run of poor results has led us to the decision that it was time to make a change.
"'We would like to thank Stephen for his hard work and dedication to the club and wish him well for the future.'

Dan Childs's EFL predictions QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday predictionsQPR looked set for a relegation scrap in the early months of the Championship season but, having lost just one of their last 13 league outings, the resurgent Hoops will now be eyeing up a playoff push.
There are a host of teams in contention to finish fifth or sixth, including tenth-placed QPR and 11th-placed Sheffield Wednesday, who are just four points outside of the playoffs. But of the pair it is Rangers who seem to have the better chance of an extended season.
Marti Cifuentes's side won only one of their opening 16 Championship games and were stuck at the bottom of the table – five points adrift of safety.
They started December inside the bottom three but have piled up the points since then and welcome Wednesday to Loftus Road on Saturday on a four-game winning streak.
QPR's resurgence has been a team effort, although the return to fitness of classy attacker midfielder Ilias Chair and the emergence of 19-year-old striker Rayan Kolli have been important factors.
Confidence levels have surged and the Londoners look a value wager to see off the Owls, who are without a win in four following their 2-2 draw at home to Bristol City on Wednesday.
Danny Rohl's side paid the price for a nervy final 30 minutes against the Robins and were close to losing the game when visiting attacker Sam Bell struck a volley against the crossbar in the final minutes.
The Owls have dropped out of the top ten for the first time since New Year's Day and their slide looks set to continue.

40/1 A Goal To Be Scored - Man City v ChelseaNEW CUSTOMER OFFER
Blackpool are League One's draw specialists, sharing the spoils in ten of 25 matches, but they still hold out hope of pushing towards the playoffs and can improve their chances by defeating Exeter at St James Park.
Steve Bruce's Tangerines have not won since a mid-December 3-0 triumph away to Reading, but the veteran boss will have been encouraged by his side's performances in recent draws with highflyers Wycombe and Huddersfield.
The Seasiders competed well against two of the best sides in the third tier and look more likely to mount a surge up the table than Exeter, who have taken one point from their last four league fixtures.
Tranmere vs Gillingham predictionsGillingham have neither picked up any points nor scored a goal in League Two since Christmas Day, but they can stop the rot and revive their flagging playoff hopes with victory at struggling Tranmere.
Experienced manager John Coleman is the man tasked with turning the Gills' fortunes around, and after starting off with a 1-0 loss at home to Doncaster, he will be looking for three points at Prenton Park.
Coleman's side were far from disgraced against Donny and they can get the better of a Tranmere side who have lost eight of their last 12 fixtures.
Barrow vs Grimsby predictionsGrimsby's winless start to 2025 has seen them fall four points adrift of the League Two playoffs, but an end to the Mariners' recent slump appears likely when they take on relegation-threated Barrow at Holker Street.
Barrow's new boss Andy Whing will be looking for positives in his first match at the helm, but the Cumbrians have won only once in their last 15 league outings and are worth opposing.
