Evan Ashe Returns To Binghamton After Initially Entering Transfer Portal
After initially announcing on twitter that he would be entering the transfer portal, Binghamton men's basketball player Evan Ashe will be returning to the 607 according to the team's instagram.
The 6'3" guard from Charlotte, North Carolina would play in 31 games for the Bearcats with 12 starts. This season, Ashe would average 5.6 points per game, and 2.4 rebounds per game while also shooting 45% from the floor and over 65% from the free throw line.
Ashe and the Bearcats would finish this past season with a 15-17 record and a 7-9 record in conference.
Binghamton's Gavin Walsh Transferring To UNCW
Former Binghamton men's basketball star Gavin Walsh is transferring to UNCW.
He made the announcement on social media Monday afternoon.
Walsh started 31 games for Binghamton during the 2024-2025 season. He averaged a double-double with 11.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. Walsh ranked fourth nationally in rebounds per game. Walsh broke the BU program record for rebounds in a single game with 23 against UMass Lowell on February 6.
UNCW is a member of the Coastal Athletic Association. The Seahawks went 27-8 during the 2024-2025 season and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
